Turning Today's Youth Into Tomorrow's Engineers and Entrepreneurs!

Robotics Clubs USA's mission is to provide budding engineers (girls and boys) an opportunity to learn science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in a fun and engaging environment. We create a safe environment for our aspiring engineers to discover and learn through play. We offer a number of themed programs that allow our engineers to explore STEM principles.

Our philosophy is to build on STEM concepts and develop a solid foundation so students become better problem solvers. Students retain and learn more when they are challenged and independently work though problems. Robotics Clubs USA believes in asking rhetorical questions when a student is looking for an answer. For example, a question answered with a question. We provide our students with the tools to solve problems and expect them to apply those tools. Engineers are problem solvers and our youth have the imagination and curiosity to ask questions and to find solutions to all kinds of probelms. 

Our programs are based upon diverse themes, giving our students opportunity to engage in problem solving in an area they are comfortable with. All of our programs incorporate engineering concepts. Each theme is designed for a defined age group according to skill set and their maturity.

Lego Engineering Themed Programs

LEGO® Challenge – Parent & Me Workshop (Ages 4-8)

 

     Teamwork makes the dream work, especially in the engineering world! Emerging engineers will tackle and overcome a variety of LEGO® challenges along with their trusty sidekick (their parent). Various structure and vehicle challenges will stretch students to think “outside the box” using the engineering method to problem solve and observation to discover and identify cool LEGO® parts! Star Wars® kits, motorized vehicles and simple buildings are only some of the many engineering possibilities. Registration is for one parent and one child. An optional $10 take-home project will be available for purchase after class.

Ultimate LEGO® Experience (Grades 2-5)

Is your child ready for the ultimate LEGO® event? We’re talking Star Wars®, Minecraft®, City, Creator and EV3 Robotics all in one program! LEGO® engineers will build a variety of models ranging from the Millennium Falcon, US Capitol, train stations and many more. Students will learn how engineers build and design using the engineering method and real-life application as well as basic robotics. Join Robotics Clubs USA in using our super powers of observation to look at objects in a more inquisitive way. Students - get ready to explore the unexpected!

Lego® Gears & Structures (Ages 7-11)

 

     Robotics Clubs USA presents the LEGO® Technic® system and Power City Construction® where our Jr. engineers will learn how to integrate gears and pulleys into mechanical devices and structures. Various challenges will stretch students to think about gears in a new way. From discovering how to alter power and speed to converting directional energy in mechanical systems, students will take their problem solving skills to the next level!

 

Lego® Minecraft Engineering (ages 7 – 14)

 

     Minecraft comes to life using LEGO® resources! Students use their imagination to build walking Creepers, terrifying Ghasts, and creative Minecraft structures. Students will examine and explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft structures. Come play in the Minecraft sand box and explore your imagination and creativity. No prior experience to use your imagination in the Minecraft world.

Lego® Star Wars® Engineering (Ages 7-14)

 

Calling all Jedi Knights – we needs your help to build starships to defeat the dark side of the force. Students will build Lego® Star Wars® models like the X-wing, Jedi transports, AT-AT walkers, and many other Star Wars® spacecraft and machines. Our young Jedi Knights will discover key engineering concepts and learn about the force behind the engineering method. Our Padawans learn how to use their special gift of observation and how the force of engineering is all around them. Come join Robotics Clubs USA’s team Jedi to defeat the dark side of the force. 

Lego® City Engineering (Ages 7-14)

     Calling all Lego® Engineers – we need your help to build a new city. Lego® Engineers will build a new city using a variety of Lego® City kits such as fire stations, stores, airport, and many city structures. Our young engineers will learn about basic building construction and develop an understanding of the function and purpose of different engineering structures and methods that are required for a working city. They will discuss ways to make a city more functional and ways to improve city structure and design. Come join the

Lego® Train, Planes, and Automobiles Engineering

(Ages 7 -14)

To move or not to move, that is the question! Students will explore, build and examine various Lego® vehicles discussing how they might improve, create or even reverse engineer a scaled static model. Creative discussions are used to help develop an understanding of the principles of flight, how airports work, and vehicle assembly as well as examine different types of transportation methods. Critical thinking, problem solving and building self-confidence are all encouraged through the guidance of Robotics Clubs USA instructors.

Ultimate Lego® Engineering (Ages 7 – 15)

Lego® Engineers are you ready for the ultimate Lego® event? We’re talking Star Wars, Minecraft, City, Creator, and Architecture all in one camp! Lego® engineers build a variety of Lego ® models ranging from the Millennium Falcon, Minecraft Dungeon, US Capitol, train stations, and many more. Engineers learn how engineers build and design all kinds of stuff. Our students learn about the engineering method and how it applies to everyday life. They learn how to use their super power of observation and look at and object in a more inquisitive way. Come join Robotics Clubs USA Ultimate Lego® Camp and explore the unexpected! 

Robotics Themed Programs

Robotics for Beginners (Ages 7 - 14)

     Calling all Robotics Enthusiast – Robotics Clubs USA is looking for young engineers to help JJ the Robot® get it’s move on! Our robotic engineers are introduced to basic robotic principles and programming logic using the Lego® EV3 Mindstorm® system. Students will explore programming logic and principles through mission-based activities that take JJ® through a series of tasks. Our young engineers work in a cooperative environment using engineering principles to become more effective problem solvers. No prior experience is required to join Robotics Clubs USA to help JJ the Robot® get it's move ON!

NoteStudents who participate in this class do not need piror expeirence. This program is recomended for studnet in the 3rd grade and beyond.

 

 

Robot Races (Ages 7 - 14)

 

     JJ the Robot® needs your young engineer to help him cross the finish line! Young robotics enthusiasts will learn basic programming principles and discover how to problem solve using programming logic and the EV3 MindStorm® system. Students program JJ the Robot® to solve simple mission-based tasks, compete in friendly missions and present their program ideas to the class throughout the week.

Robotics Journeyman (Ages 9 – 14)

 

     Welcome to the wonderful world of robotics, using the LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3 system. Your young engineer will be immersed in engineering concepts, software programming and troubleshooting, all set in a competitive and cooperative learning environment. They will learn about mechanical and software design, programming logic such as loops and conditional statements, and how to use sensors. These skills will be used to solve mission-based problems. Mission-based challenges will include robot task that require JJ the Robot® to avoid obstacles, navigating a maze, pick up and carry objects, and fetch and retrieve objects. Students will solve problems using the engineering method and share their ideas with other students while having fun! Projects are structured so that students work in a creative and engaging environment while having fun. 

 

NoteStudents who participate in this class must have a good understanding of negative vs positive numbers, decimals, ratios, fractions, logic and 2-dimensional geometry (e.g. 5th grade math).

 

Robot Challenge (Ages 9 - 14)

Robots in Space (Ages 8 - 15)

 

     Welcome to the wonderful world of Robotics Engineering and Programming! In this course your young robotics engineers will be immersed in engineering concepts, software programming and troubleshooting, focused on NASA Space Missions. Students learn in a competitive and cooperative learning environment. Students will learn how to program JJ the Robot®, solve problems using the engineering method, conduct mission-based projects, and share their ideas with other students while having fun!

Flight Themed Programs

 

Wanna go Drone Crazy – For Young Engineers (Ages 8+)   

 

Join Robotics clubs USA to have some “Drone” fun. Come learn about basic principles of flight and the evolution of traditional aircraft and modern-day quadcopters. Students will build their own drone to take home with them. Also students will learn to fly drones by line-of-sight piloting and learn how to program a drone using “Scratch” for autonomous flight. Students will explore different ways drones can be used and discuss the engineering method and how engineers use it to solve problems. Join the fun and learn about drones. No prior experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome.

Blastoff – Rocketry Workshop for Young Rocket Engineers (Ages 7+)   

Ever wondered how a rocket works? Ever built a rocket? Join Robotics clubs USA and build your very own rocket to take home. Learn about basic principles of rocketry like thrust, friction, gravity, and other forces that act upon rockets. Use the engineering method to design and build a rocket and learn about their different uses – space exploration, scientific research, space travel and colonization, etc. No prior experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome.
